I used these to create fridge magnets and they worked great. I took a 0.5 oz round aluminum container with a clear lid and I glued one of the magnets inside the base. Then I folded tiny origami roses and glued those on top of the magnet and along the edges to create a sort of bouquet of roses inside the little container jar. Even if you place the container lid on the bottom of the container, the magnet sticks fast to the fridge.
These magnets are more than strong enough to hold the container through the base along with the weight of the 7 or so origami roses. I like that I can put the magnet INSIDE the container and it sticks the container with the magnet and the origami solidly to the fridge. I could probably add at least 10 to 20 more grams of weight and have no issues with the sturdiness of this magnet.
See my pictures - I have the lid under the container and it's still able to hold up a lunch-size brown paper bag as a demonstration of sturdiness, but it could hold a bit more, too.
Also, based on other reviews, I did not use the adhesive buttons that come with the magnets, and I used superglue to affix the magnet and my paper roses.
