Excellent for a tiled shower. Can't be without them during humid summer months.

We have a fully tiled shower (floor, ceiling, walls) and then a tiled floor in the rest of the bathroom. This creates a really humid smell that carries into the bedroom during already humid Michigan summers. DampRid eliminates all of this. I hang one of these in my shower after every use and then leave the bathroom fan on for 15 minutes. No more humid, wet locker room smell in my master bedroom. I can't be without these in the summer. They also work well in closets. For people who don't enjoy scented items, the "Fresh Scent" only linger a day or two before it totally disappears.

Just as I was bragging to my roommate at how well it collected moisture in my closet, the moment I touched the plastic hangar, it breaks into 2 pieces and the giant fluid filled bag drops to the floor and explodes on impact leaving a liter of water and sticky chemical goo on my floor. In a panic, I remember a second bag still hangs in my closet and rush to remove it before history repeats itself. As I slowly reach to remove it as though I'm disarming a live bomb, the second my finger tip touched the hangar it split in 2 again and drops to the floor leaving another massive lake in my closet now. It's been 2 weeks and after many cleanings, a shiny slippery film still remains on the hardwood.

After finding my leather cowboy boots covered in mildew in my walk in closet here in humid Florida I opted to try this product. Within about 3 days water was collecting in the bottom of this hanging bag. I put a bucket underneath it just to be sure it didn't leak, due to some reviews I read, and so far so good. By making a phone call to the family owned company I found out to not to use 2 bags at the same time in the same closet as they would "feed off each other." That was good to know as I had the bright idea if one works then 2 would be better. Scent is not extremely strong - good in my opinion - and dissipates within a few days. Will rebuy after they are used up.
