Only 40 square feet....that's barely the area around my desk. My hubs smokes and in the house (right??!!! The nerve!) and my sinuses get inflamed so I got this little bad boy for just my office and specifically to sit on my desk. I didn't want to run it all the time and certainly didn't want it to make a lot of noise as I work from home most days. I didn't see the 40 sq ft limit on purified air output. No wonder it was a good price. Regardless, it actually has made a difference. I have noticed when he's smoking my nose doesn't get stuffy anymore and I don't get the late morning headache like I was. I am impressed with that so I gave it the 4 stars....because it really does it's job and very quietly.

It's really quiet and doesn't use so much electricity (probably a dollar ish a month where I live) so I let it run 24/7. However, my apartment is pretty clean to begin with and the change filter indicator seems to be time-bound. This means that less than a month after I set it up the change filter turned on. I opened the thing and to be honest there was small particles of dust but not that much. I have other devices and this does not qualify to me as a need for filter changing. So I cleaned it up a bit with the vaccum and put it back in. I know the company says it's not cleanable and needs to be changed but they try to make money off the filters obviously... To get the annoying change filter red light off you just press directly on it for 3 seconds with a pen and it's gone (to another time loop I expect...).

Alright, so after the first full day of having this in my office cubicle, I feel generally better. On the low setting it produces a very low volume white noise and subtle breeze (just enough to remind me it's there). I have to say that on the high setting it's just loud enough to where the next cubicle over would hear it (which is a deal breaker for me to run this full throttle). For me, I've placed it on the floor under my desk. My theory here is that the fresh clean air will blow upwards and creep around the desk under my keyboard and right up to the front of me where I am breathing and in fact, this air flow is working perfectly. I'm also aware that people's perfumes and cologne's are harder to detect in my "personal space". For the price, I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

So hard to sleep because you can't turn off the blue light at night :(

I love this little filter, but I really wish it had an option to turn off the blue light (the light comes on when the machine is turned on). I have the filter on my nightstand, and it's impossible to shut off the blue light while I'm sleeping, unless I shut off the whole filter, which defeats the purpose.
If the company releases another version with the option to turn OFF the light, I'd definitely buy it again... I'm sad, cuz I want to love this thing so much, but I just can't sleep with the light on.. Gonna go cry now K bye
