Originally bought one for use with a small digital audio recorder ( to prevent handling noise ). It works great for that. Then I bought a two handed video camera mount with cold shoes for accessories .. but it was awkward to hold it up in front of my face. I added this on the bottom, below the frame, and it was much easier .. so I bought another one!

This handle is well made and should last for many years. I wish they had more colors than red as I have similar cameras and have to mark each handle with a colored ribbon to quickly identify which camera I am grabbing.
