I bought this kickstand as a replacement for one that came with a 24 inch youth bike. The one on the youth bike just did not keep the bike stable because it was too short resulting having to make sure the bike was steady before you walked away from it. This kickstand is substantial and adjustable so that you can quickly put the stand down and walk away. It also has a nice size end so that the bike doesn't sink into soft dirt, grass etc. when the kick stand is in use.
