If you're on this site and looking at one of these cutting tools, I can say go for it. D2 steel,it does have a 90 degree spine that may work very well with a ferro rod, ball bearing pivot, G10 scales and a half decent lock.
The reason I did give it 5 stars was for VALUE, you can spend twice the price and not do any better. It does weigh a bit but the D2 is worth checking out. I got the bright green scales, it's pretty nice.
Opens easily closes easily. Right hand tip up pocket clip,the clip is on the cheap side. sorry lefties. It did come out of the box sharp. And a lanyard hole.

Bought this a month ago. One of the best knives I've ever owned. The D2 steel is quality steel and it holds an edge well. I use my knives moderately. They stay busy but I don't use them for anything crazy. This knife is very comfortable in the hand. It sits well in the pocket and has a small foot print on pocket space. The lock is smooth and easy although the thumb studs are a bit small. It's easy to get used to. You won't find a knife with quality like this at this price point.

I have grown quite fond of this knife. I bought it to test out this brand and must say I'm surprised. The lock is amazing. The bearing action is right with no play and very smooth. The D10 steel holds an edge well and can stand the abuse I put it through. The handle is solid and feels good in my hand. It is awkward at first figuring out the easiest way to open but once you understand the lock, it's awesome. For a copy-cat company, it's not bad. I will probably buy a few more from This company.

This is another solid offering from this seller. The fit and finish is great, and the G10 is beveled all around so nothing is making it uncomfortable to hold. With the frame being steel, there is some weight to this knife, but those liners have been moderately skeletonized, so it's not excessively heavy. Just heavy enough to feel sturdy and reliable. The blade itself is simple but attractive nonetheless. I'll have to take their word that it is D2 steel as my gas chromatograph is in the shop for repairs

This knife is easy to open and close with one hand, and is smooth the whole way through. I might think to say that the spring on the AXIS lock seems awfully stiff, but I'm not familiar enough with AXIS locking systems to know if that is the norm or not. I can imagine that it might be so that it can ensure a solid lock.

All in all I'd say this knife is a quality piece that is well worth the asking price.

This has turned out to be a real gem. I've carried this ef3 since Christmas and it's gotten even slicker to open and close. I've never touched the pivot and it locks open with a click that sounds like a precision instrument that costs to much for me to own, and I can't force any blade play in it. I've sharpened it more times than I needed to, mostly with a leather strop board and green compound and I believe it's d2. It feels different on a sharpening stone than 440c, which is what I'm most familiar with, and it's definately harder than 420hc. And the black handle with satin finish metal is a handsome knife. I have small to medium hands and with my index finger in the handle choil my hand covers the whole grip. This limits some leverage and options to hold it but with a dozen edc folders I always end up clipping the ef3 in my pocket to go to work.
