and this is certainly superior. It is comfortable

This is my first saddle, so comparisons can't be made. I've used a climbing BELT before...and this is certainly superior. It is comfortable. It's not hard to get the straps tangled when first trying to sort out climbing into the thing, but that goes away with some familiarity. There are plenty of loops for tools, fittings, and rigging hardware. Likely more expensive saddles would better suit daily use but this harness worked perfectly for me.
Waist belt sits too low in front.

I have used lots of harnesses for many years, but never this particular type. It is an inexpensive copy of petzl or similar harnesses. The material seems thick enough and plenty strong. The padding is nice.
My one significant complaint is that the straps between the leg loops and the waist belt are much too short on mine. This pulls the waist belt down tool low on my pelvis and creates a risk of inverting. I used it a few times to see if I could adjust it to overcome this problem, but I finally altered the harness. I ripped the stitching that attaches the leg loops to the front of the waist belt, then added a "belay loop" to the front, the same as rock climbing harnesses use. The belay loop connects the leg loops to the front of the waist harness. The extra length allows the waist belt to ride properly above my pelvis. It is much more comfortable now. I have made and altered lots of climbing gear, but most people will not feel comfortable altering a brand new harness like this. The only other way to have the waist belt ride high enough is to keep the leg loops very loose.
Now that I have altered this belt, I am pretty happy with it. Very beefy and comfortable. The adjusting buckles are not very smooth, but they do their job ok.

I tried to test this harness. This nearly killed me. The Y design can choke you when you attach a safety line at the back. Most climbing harnesses has an H design. This one does not. I tried all manner of adjustment thinking is it a user error. There are no writtent instruction and how to use this as well There are 2 of us who tried to make this to work and we are very capable folks and we both concluded that we do not want to risk our life to this.
It is very ironic that you buy a safety device only to realize that this device is not safe.

Save your mind and time.

Out of package the straps were twisted and sewn into place. No way to get twists out, no way to get leg supports under the belt, no way to use "D" rings and positioning rings at the same time. Spent almost four hours trying only to realize that the instructions they sent were for a SEQUOiA belt instead of this knock off. Don't waste your time waiting for this to arrive only to have to return it and wait another month for something possibly better. We'll see. In the meantime I am losing time getting things done. The one they sent ME looked nothing like what was pictured here.
Comfortable, functional, and a pretty dang good value.

As someone who has used both older and new Sequoia's, this saddle is a lot like an older Petzl Sequoia. Comfortable for me at 5'9", 170, 32" waist, but I don't think I'd recommend anyone much bigger than that try it. Once you tighten it up, you have plenty of strap, but getting it on is a little bit of a pain without buckles like a newer Sequoia. The rings are nice and round, but not marked, and I'm not sure how far I trust the webbing bridge. Flipline D's are fine, no complaints. Doesn't have any slots in the back webbing for a carabiner to hold a saw, but that can be overlooked at the pricepoint. As a backup, or recreational/occasional backyard use saddle, I'd recommend 100%. For someone looking to start climbing professionally, I'd highly recommend springing for an actual Sequoia instead, because you'll end up wanting one after you've used this one a while, and you'll end up spending the money anyways. Do note that it is not CE/ANSI rated, and thus should probably not be used professionally. At least not anywhere the OSHA police are rampant.
