My 2013 F150 with 92k miles had a P0430 fault code which is related to the catalytic converter. This truck is 8 years old and well maintained since purchase - you can eat off the engine. I've replaced all 3 map sensors, coils, spark plugs, filters, hoses, injectors and even the ECU.

I tried Cataclean on 3 consecutive occasions and followed the instructions very closely (1 part to 30). I let my tank get down for 4 gallons with all 3 attempts then added the Cataclean (plus a few extra ounces). The code did not go out; but my gas mileage and truck engine did improve.

I gave this review a 4 as there was an improvement with the engine's performance. I tend to believe that a highly maintained F150 should never have a catalytic converter fail with the history of obsessive maintenance performed on the truck. I dont believe Cataclean failed me as I firmly believe Ford's quality failed me; for the last time.

Lots cheaper and easier than replacing our old car's cat. I used this product first time 4 years ago when emissions test was due. The "check engine" light was on for a marginal (dirty) catalytic converter. It worked then. So I tried it again this time. No check engine light now. The cat is clean enough to pass emissions once again. The old Camry with 244,000 miles still runs like new.
I certainly endorse this product based on my results - twice now.

Half a tank of gas or less add two to three bottles run down to eight of tank or less.

This may be a bit of a review but its worth your time to read, I bought the 3L Cataclean planning on using it in all 3 of my vehicles after getting a P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold code on my Solstice. Well I followed the directions to the letter and was disappointed at the outcome the code P0420 returned. So not one to not give a product the benefit of the doubt, I added 4 gallons of fuel and an additional quart of Cataclean. I cleared the code and then I followed the Drive cycle plan for my Car to get all points to either pass or fail, this included a 55MPH drive on the highway for 15 minutes and coasting to a full stop turning around and repeating the 55MPH cycle. During this drive I noticed that the engine seemed to be performing better and to my surprise no check engine light to be seen. After I returned to my house I once again scanned the I/M monitors and all but one had passed showing the catalytic converter was once again performing to satisfaction. The only Incomplete was O2 sensor(1) heater that should have passed but it did not effect the performance of the converter. I will be replacing the O2 monitor a $40 bill versus a $760 replacement Cat that I would have to install or pay Labor ?? in the neighborhood of an additional $300. So in conclusion Cataclean gets my vote. Hope this helps someone out there that has the same issue get the 3l and save some $$$ plus have enough left over to treat an additional vehicle or save for the next P0420. Sorry about the length of my review but as you can see the initial run just did not do the job however the extended run worked wonders.

I put about 1/3 of the product in my gas tank and drove around until the fuel level was dangerously low. Filled the gas tank and the check engine light turned off the following day. Amazing stuff! This is also a Great value compared to purchasing
the small bottles.
