Somewhat smaller than expected and a bit too sweet for my taste.
Better than Hostess, not as good as Drakes old whole snack pie

APPLE PIE MINI'S; For many years I enjoyed DRAKES Apple pie snacks, & then Hostess/Drakes went out of business for a short period of time. When they came back under new ownership, they brought back the 2-pack of Hostess Apple pies, but not the 1 piece Drakes-my favorite. I still loved the 2-pack from Hostess, but preferred the 1 big Drakes due to no hard edges.
Then, many years later & currently, Entenmann's came out with their own version of the 2-piece Hostess Apple pies. They are better in some ways than the Hostess, not as good as the Drakes was, & taste/feel of higher quality than both. They are softer around the edges, but have less apple pieces & more "slime," and are the smallest of all 3. They taste nearly the same except for a little bit of a "sour" apple aftertaste, which is a good thing. They are the creamiest of the 3 & overall I'd have to say they are slightly better than the Hostess but not as good as the Drakes.
I buy them only when on sale, as they are overpriced-just like all of Entenmann's products are. Buy 1 get 1 free & I will buy a few boxes & pig out on the newest addition of Apple snack pies on the market (As of this writing).
So, if you like other brands of these type of Apple pies, be sure to try these as well.
