Too early for a full review, but so far it's been a great help. I was able to troubleshoot a fuel injection and compression issue with my 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 Diesel. The Launch was easy to set-up and register. I haven't used tech support yet, so I can't give feedback in that area. Fast shipping, good value!

Well, I had a problem with the unit after using the system for several days. I was getting an error "gboard keeps stopping". This was popping up every few seconds, the unit still worked, but very annoying. So, I read the manual and came to the conclusion that I needed to do a factory reset. I couldn't back up my data because my keyboard wasn't available. I reset the tablet and the keyboard came up, but the V 431 Pro Software was gone. I searched the Launch website and couldn't get to the software to download. I sent Tech Support a trouble ticket and waited...crickets. I then contacted the seller...within 12 hours they sent a link to the software. I loaded the software and everything worked as advertised. I also had a question about this system being a 431 and not a 431Pro. The seller sent me a chart showing the differences between the two models. I'm satisfied with the response. UCar Technology is standing behind their product and has outstanding customer support. BTW...I used the scan tool to program a key for a 2013 Ford F-150, worked with no issues.

I'm a home mechanic and have wanted a bidirectional scan tool for years. I contemplated a used Snapon Solus, but realized the software updates would probably exceed the price of this new unit. I must say this scanner is well built, and higher quality than I expected. I have used it on about 12 different cars so far, from almost new, all the way back to a 1998 4Runner and a 1998 ZR2 S-10. It has worked flawlessly. Recently, I was trouble shooting the air leveling suspension on my 2008 Infiniti QX56. This tool allowed me to perform the exact tests that are called for in the Factory Service Manual. The tests even had the EXACT SAME NAMES so it was easy to run my suspension through the tests. Turning on the compressor, purging the system, challenging the truck to a "level" condition. I would have never accomplished this without a bidirectional scan tool. I am very pleased with the tool, and only wish it came with a small case to protect it while transporting. You see, the big "suit case" it comes with is none too handy to carry around. I ended up purchase zippered sleeve on Amazon. It works great. I would recommend this tool to anyone looking for a more complete diagnostic experience.

Not quite use to it yet but so far I graphs are inadequate for real use and the graphs have to have values physically set, needs a smoother flowing use of screen and the icons on the bottom are not labeled so you are guessing also. Overall I was back and forth about sending back. I think for the money you should get the options of the higher end or it's only advantage I have over my other 2 is the bidirectional which is needed. The step by step of corrections or even more detailed definitions just is not there. Too much flipping to next list of information where as my action , you scroll easily. Like I said, for all the different models they advertise, I would have gladly paid a slightly higher price for a scanner that does everything. If you can afford or save your money a little longer and get the red one (hint) that mechanics use. I am regretting I didn't save for the red one. Launch is a let down for this person.

I used this to reprogram the transponder keys for my 2005 Dodge grand-caravan. It either does not have the ability or i could not figure out how to make it pull the SKIM pin so i could get access to the skim system. I had to pay a local lock smith $50 for the 4 digit pin. Once i got the pin the device worked wonderfully at reprogramming the new keys (from eBay). When the key was done it was not only programmed to start the vehicle but the key-less entry system worked too. The case on the tablet is very nice, and the kit overall appears to be a very nice one. just wish it came with some instructions and wish that it was able to pull the skim pin for me.

2 years later it still works great. It keeps trying to get me to pay for updates but I just hit cancel and it keeps working and updating anyway. The only biggest complaint I have about it is the battery. It dies in like a day. So have to make sure it's plugged in the night before every time I need it otherwise i have to use a jump box. It's very slow to charge too.
