A number of sources seem to sell the same (or very similar) product under different names.
Cons:
It's a small quibble, but photos show an attractive wood-grain finish. The box I received has been painted or opaquely stained so that no wood grain is visible. Not ugly, but not as nice as the photo.
Pros:
Construction of 12 mm plywood with 7 layers. Not veneered particle board or OSB, even on the bottom.
This type of stand takes up less floor space than tripod-type stands.
Interior padding is soft enough that the cello slips in easily, and firm enough that the cello is held in place.
Extra slot, cut out of padding in one corner, holds the bow.
Stable enough that it won't fall over if you brush against it, but perhaps not as stable as a tripod.

About what I expected.. It sports a heavily lacquered finish, which made me suspect that it is made of laminants. Arrived in good condition with no visible blemishes ..UNTIL I turned it upside down and looked at the bottom, where the laquer failed at one of the outside edges, and the laminants split and curled. No one will ever see that but it does speak to the less-than-stellar quality of the workmanship. My 'strad' model Jay Haide fits like a glove, actually squeaking a little as it slides in. Felt on the feet is a nice touch for those who might be concerned about it making marks on wood floors. It looks great, but at this price point I feel like it should look good from any angle/perspective.
