I am a nurse and am familiar with compression stockings. I have been wearing knee high compression socks for years. I am going back to work after having surgery and needed a thigh high for better support. I did not want to spend a lot of money on my first trial pair. I pulled them out of the package and wore them for 6 hours no problem. The material is substantial like a tight rather than a sheer stocking, this is what I was looking for. They wash well in hand wash cycle in my washing machine. I used the size chart to order an XL, they fit well. I normally take a medium in the knee high. Be sure to measure your leg and use the size chart, if you are between sizes chose the larger size. I plan on buying another pair. A good buy.

These are perfect for my needs! I wanted a compression tight/sock option that wasn't conspicuous, as I have to wear them daily for a heart condition. These look like tights under my skirts and no one knows what they truly are! Perfect amount of compression and I love the open toe option - I live in the South and it helps to have the option to air out my toes when I wear these on warm days! I went by the sizing guidelines and got a great fit for my women's size 10ish body (the elastic around your thighs SHOULD be tight, it's just a matter of how comfortable you feel in them). I'll buy another pair!

I rated this 4 stars only because the foot section does not fit as expected. The foot is a little loose, but the rest of the stocking fits very well and is not too tight around the thigh, which was a concern I had. I went by the measurements guide and was really in between sizes, so I went up a size. If I had gone with the smaller size, I am afraid the top of the hose (the "thigh high") would have been too tight! I just received this 2 days ago so have not washed them yet and cannot attest to durability.

I bought both the large and the XX-large. I'm usually a size 8-10 in pants. I'm 5'4' and about 160lbs. I wanted some leggings that would go well with a school girl skirt but that would stay up for long periods of time. The large fit well and it gave a tiny bit of thigh muffin top, but they looked great on and they stayed in place for the 12 hours i wore them. I will say that the large left imprints on my thighs where the band held them in place (at the top of the sock) and the imprints were so deep that it took days to fade. So then i bought the larger size. The larger size (XX-large) fit very well and stayed up. It was just more comfortable overall and they didn't leave huge imprints on my thighs.
