I recently bought another pipe before this one (a Churchwarden long stem) that while nice on first appearance, did not hold a candle to the quality of this pipe. the wood grain is remarkable and evident in it's finish. The bowl may seem a bit small, but then you don't want the weight to be overwhelming between puffs. It comes with three ball filters to avoid pieces of tobacco from getting lodged into the shank chamber. The bowl does not over heat (and won't if you know how to smoke a pipe). A few pulls and this baby is good to go for those times you want to relax with a pipe and your thoughts. Shockingly affordable too. A lot of pipes start at $60.00 or more but this package is a steal imo. the metal ring that the Stem meets is not cheap plastic like I was worried about at first, and it does not conduct heat either so you won't be risking a fracture in the shank. A very appropriate gift for any man who enjoys pipes too.
