I returned it immediately, as I'd be embarrassed to give it as a gift even to a teenage art student and the price was at least twice what I think it's worth now that I've seen it. It's very cheaply made. The drawer bottoms and dividers are fiberboard set inside very lightweight wood frames that are gouged and splintered. They're also very loose from side-to-side making it hard to keep them aligned with one another. When you pull out one drawer, it scrapes against the one above it, pulling that one out along with it. Finally, the two wooden rails that run along the outside top surface of the box may add stability but limit its potential functionality.

I love storage things. I probably don't really need this elaborate piece of what is virtually furniture, but, I like it. It's wood and substantial enough. I mean, quality-wise, it's not Amish, but, it'll for sure do. Crazy about Amish workmanship! But, you pay for it, am I right? That's another story. I keep markers and colored pencils in this and it makes me feel more arty.

Love love love this item!! The drawers move smoothly, there are dividers in each drawer..that'said working okay for me..it is of medium weight, love the wood,however wood is a little rough on sides but not on top..I would definitely buy another one to try !
