The rubberized Talon Grip for my Smith & Wesson M&P Shield were literally transformational with regard to fit and function as a concealed weapon. The Shield is a good weapon, but even with the extended magazine I found the single-stack design just didn't fit my hand as well as I'd have liked. I toyed with a few other options (a neoprene sleeve, etc.) but settled on the Talon grips on the advice of a friend. While he recommended the granuate texture, the rubberized texture is perfect for me; it provides a sure grip and just a tiny bit of cushioning.

The grip applies easily and I don't expect any issues with peeling. Following the directions (alcohol wipe, heating the applied grip with a heat gun), the application was simple and quick; the adhesive cured immediately and held up perfectly during a range trip the next day.

I did purchase the grip from the extended magazine directly from Talon; their customer service was prompt and the handwritten "thank you" on the invoice was a nice touch. Overall, this is a must-have for any polymer pistol ... I've already got one on order for my Beretta Px4.

Wow, what a difference! The handle was a tad thin for me thus the gun felt a bit top-heavy. Not only did the Talon grips add a bit of something to grab a hold of, and thus more control, but it is also the perfect non-friction surface.

Here is a valuable tip! When practicing a conceal-carry quick draw, I noticed that I had to shift my grip a bit OFF the handle in order to pull the safety off with the END of my thumb and then shift my hand back. There simply isn't enough meat of the safety lever to bring it down in one fluid draw using the SIDE of your thumb. The solution is to take a bit of the Talon grip that is left over and put it on the safety lever. Now, I can draw and grip the gun properly while the SIDE of my thumb brings the safety down (off), all in one fluid and quicker motion. You'll love it!

I was skeptical at first. Seemed like it would easily come off the pistol, but I was wrong. Installed this on my S&W M&P Shield 9. Gives it a more positive grip and makes it easier for quick draw from my holster. It also makes it easier for me to rapid fire on target due to the better grip. I haven't yet tested how durable the adhesive is in warm weather. I'm wondering if the grip will move if I left it in the car under the sun (though I think the instructions said this shouldn't be left in temps beyond a certain level).

Install was easier than I expected. One side note: I had to carefully stretch this as I applied it onto my pistol. Without stretching it, the cut out holes and perforations don't match up with the pistol. I thought this might be problematic, but no. Feels perfect.

I wasn't paying attention and ordered the sandpaper type grips instead of the rubber ones - but once they were on I was like ' HEY-this is pretty nice! Get the rubber ones if you are going to have the grips against your bare skin - and they can catch on cotton clothes. But really - these were so easy to install myself and my hair dryer was enough. They haven't started coming off anywhere - almost look like they are part of the original. I'm sure I'll get the rubber ones form my little M&P .22 - but I'm happy with this, (Posted by the wife - wife's gun).

I love these grips. I originally had the Shield in 9mm, but recently traded it to a friend for the Shield in .40 S&W. These were the first accessory I ordered. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it is missing the small piece for the 7 round magazine. When I ordered the Talon grips originally it was from them directly, and that package included the piece for the extended magazine at no extra cost. Great grips that really help me get a hold of the firearm, even off hand shooting.
