Measurement of depth is misleading

The quality of the stand is very nice and I ultimately was able to put it together. Just a couple issues which bring my rating to three points. The allen wrench was misshapen, and didn't fit the screws, but fortunately, I had another in the same size that did the trick. There was a stray piece of material not easily visible stuck on the inside of the tube that prevented the screw from going in, but again removing it corrected the problem. My most critical complaint, and one that will probably cause me to return it, is that the depth measurements are incorrect as shown in the detail images. The image of the riser shows 11" on the depth of the leg beginning on the inside of the curve (which is even with the back of platform) to the front of the leg. Since I absolutely needed 11" of depth on the platform, I purchased the stand. Unfortunately, the platform itself only measures 9-1/8" deep.

Word of caution, my 11 year old son tried to put the legs on himself. Had he waited for his dad he would have learned that it was bent and the screw wasn't lining up right. My son, instead of waiting, muscled through and broke the rivet that the screw goes into. His dad, Maintenance Tech, was able to get it to work, but each leg only has 1 screw now. It works, seems sturdy and since it was so cheap we can buy another if we need to. He's got his laptop on it and it's working well.
We purchased 2 of these, the other one was perfect and went together without any trouble. My 14 yr old put that one together.

Good monitor stand

This monitor stand looks nice. When I got it, I am more surprised that it's really good quality material, beautiful stainles steel, very comfortable. It's very easy to setup. And I put it under my office monitor, It works well, raise monitor 4inch much better for my neck and back. I like it.
This makes my neck feel so much better when I have to be seated at my computer ...

This makes my neck feel so much better when I have to be seated at my computer for a long time. It fits perfectly for my laptop, the ventilation holes work really well, and the stand is sturdy, so I don't have to worry about my laptop slipping off of it or the stand slipping off my desk. It raises my computer just a little over four inches from the desk surface, so it will take me some getting used to as far as the angle of my wrists when typing, but actually, it forces your wrists into a more ergonomically sound position anyway, so it's probably better for me in the long run.
Plus, super easy to put together. It came with instructions, but you really don't need them. The two u-shaped legs come with bolts that just screw right into the base.
The only thing I would suggest would be on the packaging end - it was in its regular box (like you would see in a store), but that was not boxed for USPS. Our mail delivery person left it sitting on the front porch, and it's snowing, so the box got wet. We noticed it fairly quickly, but if we hadn't happened to look out on the front porch when we did, the box would have been soaked through.

Very stable stand riser and the quality is very good. I used it for my TV, it makes the room more clean now. I thought it would be too small for putting my TV, but I found out everything is fine. I love this stand riser, and the price is reasonable.
