My husband actually thought this was beef and complimented me! I find it has little taste, but the texture is good - similar to mushrooms - and it takes on flavours very well. The 2 kg package is a lot to buy at a time but the product can be frozen in vacuum bags and used gradually. Excellent "calorie value," too. Will be buying this regularly.

Wonderful! Perfect young jackfruit, no salty brine, just the good stuff. I nearly thought it was meat when I opened the package. I made a delicious shredded BBQ sandwich last night, and the mouthfeel was exactly what I had been dreaming of. Sice I'm cooking for just me, 2 cups made plenty for last night, with leftovers for another meal. I got another 5 2-cup portions in bags in the freezer. Will definitely buy this one again! Exceeded my expectations, with happy tastebuds and tummy! =)
