Some wish they had the option of a door to block opening, so they could soak in the tub. But overall good response from our elderly residents.

We have been using CleanCut Step Bathtub kits for about six months in our Senior Apartment complex. Our techs find the installation process easy and our residents enjoy the final product which makes getting in and out of a bathtub much easier.

I am a property manager of a Senior apartment complex and this product has saved us so much money and made taking a shower easier and safer for hundreds of people. We purchased our first tub cut out at least 3-4 years ago to install in the first apartment, and have routinely continued to install in the majority of our apartments. If someone is unable to take a bath and has difficulty lifting their legs over the tub wall...... This is the best, safest and most economical solution to keep your loved ones safe and independently showering. We have never had an issue with this product or an installation, our maintenance man has installed several of these and it is very easy. This is one of the greatest selling points when showing an apartment to an applicant. In my opinion this is better than the walk in showers because it still has the partial wall of the tub so that there is less of a chance for the water to go out onto the floor.

I hesitated to buy this because of how expensive it was. After watching the video, I decide to buy it, because compared with other similar products, the installation video shows a membrane/cloth that is installed on top of the risers to seal off the cut area of the tub. Together with caulking around the step, this will create two barriers to water/moisture. Product arrived with the step, two risers/support blocks and two caulking tubes. No membrane. And the installation sheet did not mention the first seal off process. This way, the only barrier between the water/moisture and the sub-floor is the bead around the step, which is not acceptable and reliable considering the lateral stress put on the caulking/seal when someone steps on it. So, I have a very expensive $350.00 piece of plastic to glue on the "compromised" bath-tub. I do not recommend this product to any one because it will cause more expensive issues to deal with in the long run. In fairness, the step appears to be rather strong and sturdy.

This is So easy to install and if you need to convert a tub, we couldn't use ours, and the walk in showers are very expensive. A handyman level project and YouTube how to was helpful.
