I've been eyeing this runner for a while now and with the upcoming holiday (July 4th) I knew it would be perfect to use for our holiday celebrations.
It comes rolled up and immediately lies flat on the table once you open it up. That tells you right away that it's a thick material, you don't have to put anything on top of it to hold it down. The back is also grippy, so it stays where you put it, you don't have to worry about it sliding when you are placing hot pots or pans on top of it.
Currently, we are using it on our bartop, and it is a great place to make cocktails. If I spill a little something, I can just wipe it clean - or handwash the whole thing in the sink for bigger messes.
During cookout events, it will be center table and holding all of our dishes, foods, and drinks. The star design looks right at home for the Fourth of July as well as the winter holidays and New Year.
The size of it is great too - it looks like you could even cut it if you wanted to create smaller runners for other areas of your home. For a tabletop (or bartop) runner, it's the perfect size already.
I've tested it out with a hot pan after cooking some pasta and it didn't scorch the material and it kept my table nice and cool and mark-free. Highly recommended!
