This syrup from Kalispell is so good and full of huckleberries. So far, we've only had it on pancakes but I'm going to search for recipes. What's this about a huckleberry margarita? Would've made a huckleberry milkshake but had no ice cream. This is the real thing. Replaced the bottle that was confiscated by the TSA, it was accidentally placed in my carry on bag because my checked bag weighed a little too much.

First, the bad: same shipping problem someone else had: maybe a tsp leaked out of the closed top during shipping.
The absolutely awesome: since I had to clean up the bottle, opened it. And poured a tiny bit into a tasting dish. Oh my god is this the most perfect huckleberry flavor! LOVE IT.
The main issue is: the leakage combined with "refrigerate after opening" makes me
wonder about the "shelf" (or "refrigerator") life I have with it. I may have to consume it pretty quickly instead of storing it.

The bottle had leaked badly, the cap being poorly sealed. The flavor has an alcohol tinge to it that "bites" and I worried being unsealed it might be fermented. But like a lot of fermented stuff, it tastes rather good anyway, and I took the risk of putting on pancakes, and I didn't get sick. Also used it as a dip with deep fried spring rolls and it was the best thing I'd ever had with spring rolls.
