This meets my need. I don't make tortillas. It is used to press bites size chips. In all the years I have used different brands I find that none if them make round tortillas or rotis. If you want to
Make like 4 inch tortillas then it is ok. You might have to bake them on the griddle after the press.

Brentwood Roti maker

I like this roti maker, it's the right size, heats up well on the max setting, and the rotis fluff up into a ball. It takes a few tries because the dough is softer (wetter) than the hand rolled roti. Overall, I am happy with this product.

If your dough is slipping out every time, use more water. Dough needs to be very, very soft. I use half whole wheat and half AP or bread flour. I always usr about a 70% ratio. If Iuse 1 cup flour, than I use about 70% of a cup of water. And I make it vety, very warm water. Just use half of it at first, and slowly add the rest. Dough will be soft and a bit sticky. After you flatten the dough, you can pat a teeny bit of flour on before using the press. It took me 3 weeks and several videos to get it right. I also use 1/2 t baking powder, 1 t salt and 1 t sugar. And cayenne when I want spicy flavor. Hated this thing 3 weeks and now won't live without one. I have 2 brands and this recipe works with both. Keep trying.
