Worked the way it was supposed to

This was exactly what I needed, I guess I didn't even notice it also came with hardware for the bed frame which was nice. I did have to modify the slots for the headboard but I knew that going in as it clearly shows the dims for the vertical slots as clearance for 1/4" bolts while my headboard required 5/16" bolts. But none of my searching returned anything other than the 1/4" slots. (note to manufacturer if those vertical slots were clearance for 3/8" we could always use washers to size it back down and this product would be perfect.)
The gauge of the adaptor bracket was very thick so it holds the headboard very tight to the frame without any deflection when I moved the entire bed and headboard back against the wall after installation.
Not for larger size headboard bolt diameters.

Gives a fair amount of mounting options, but suffers from a critical issue. I bought 2 sets of these and they include the bolts to mount the bed frame but not the headboard itself. (which is okay... read on) Padded fabric headboards have a threaded mounting stud imbedded in the wood of the headboard. I had two of these style headboards. As I learned, not all headboards accept the same size bolt or thread pattern. One of my headboards took 1/4" bolts and the other took 3/8" bolts. I imagine there are many headboards out there that have 3/8" bolts. The critical issue with these brackets is the slots cut in them don't allow for a 3/8" bolt to pass through it. I ended up drilling my own holes through the brackets to compensate.

I recently bought a floor model headboard thinking it would fit my metal bed frame. I was wrong and because it was a floor model, it meant there was no returning it. As I cursed the heavens, I desperately searched for a solution and came across this adapters. Worked wonderfully. I was able to securely mount my new headboard to my metal frame. Total lifesaver!

These are great brackets, although I did not use them to mount the frame to the front of the headboard. The bedframe actually fit my cal King headboard fine so I technically did not need the brackets for that, however I used them on the back of my head board legs where the bolts came through and needed the nuts tightened...I used them as a giant washer to reinforce the back of the headboard leg so they helped strengthen the mounting to the fabric covered leg. Not sure you can understand my explanation, but they worked Great!!!!! Sorry I did not take pictures which would help show my use of them.

Works great. I painted the bracket adapter to match the headboard. Took the paint well and is nice and strong.
