It looks sturdy and material looks like it is of good quality
Jan L Tamunda•November 18, 2017
I bought four of these for our thanksgiving dinner. Its size is what I imagined it to be. I can fit 6 people in. 8 would be a little bit too crowded. The surface is not smooth and has freckles on it. It looks sturdy and material looks like it is of good quality. It is somewhat heavy and its hard to transport since it does not have handles on it. Although the foldable nature makes the storage easier. Legs can be locked to avoid accidental folding when using it. The rounded edges makes it look good.
Table works and is functional, but a downgrade from previous model with cut corners and other changes

I'm rating this a 3 star because I ended up paying $15 more for this table compared to the previous model, but I also lost some table space on all 4 corners. Previous model: Cosco Deluxe 6 foot x 30 inch Fold-in-Half Blow Molded Folding Table, White Speckle (or 14678WSP1 Centerfold Folding Table). It is still 6 feet from center to center, but you can lose between 2-3 inches as you reach the corner on either side (It starts rounding off within 3 inches), losing between 4-6 inches all together from corner to corner length-wise. If I rest my arm on the very edge of the table in the previous model, I can rest on it comfortably because the edge was mostly straight. On the new model at the same spot, I wouldn't be able to do that because of the cut corners.
The locking mechanism when you unfold the table also isn't as solid as the previous model. (basically a bar that floats and is visibly held by a thin cable and a couple of springs vs an actual metal lock button on the previous model) When one of the two legs is up, the cable gives away which the springs pull the bar towards the center and rests in the metal folding part to prevent it from folding. If you put that leg down, the cable pulls the bar away from the center and allows it to fold. It's nice that it automatically locks/unlocks with the one leg, but it still doesn't feel or appear as solid/secure as the previous model.
If you fold the table, it latches on to one of the bars to secure it just like when you fold in a leg. The previous model had an outside latch to secure it, which does a better job of keeping it folded and not accidentally pop open. If you apply enough force on the new model, you could unfold it. (I'm indifferent about it but it might matter to some people).
I also have to spend more time making sure all 4 connection bars are straight by lifting it in place after I unfold the legs. I sometimes wouldn't need to do that with the old model as enough force with the leg could make them straight. (There were also only two connection bars in the previous model that I had to worry about)
One big positive thing with the new model over the old is that I have more knee room at the bottom because of the arched leg, which may be a bigger deal for larger people.
In the end, this is a table that still works and is functional. You can tell they tried to use less resources in the new model, especially with less table space on each corner which is disappointing. What hurt this rating is that this new model is more of a downgrade than it is an upgrade and I paid more for this model compared to old model I got several months ago. If you don't mind the difference and the cut corners, then you will be happy with this table.
