Like many people, I have a bunch of gizmos, attached to my TV. And of course, each one has a remote, making a universal remote a good idea. This one can take up to 6 devices, including a good number of older ones. It does not work with my Amazon Fire Stick, but I knew that when I bought it.

It was not unduly difficult to program, though it would be nice if the code list were not in such tiny print. It even has an eject button for the Blu-ray player (a feature many universal remotes lack.) I liked it enough to buy a second one for the bedroom, where I had some older electronics. It worked just as well as it did with newer ones.

Purchased this controller to control 5 devices: Samsung Smart TV, Sony Blu-ray drive, Arris Cable Box, Roku Ultra streaming device, and a Zvox Sound system. I was able to easily find the proper codes for all the devices except the Arris Cable Box. The controller came programmed with the code (2424) which initially seemed to work properly. However, after further use I discovered it didn't work properly. I tried the code for the Arris Cable Box (2514) but it did not work at all. Using the Auto Code Search function I was able to find the code (1283) that worked properly. So for those that may be having a problem with the Arris Cable Box try code (1283). I'm satisfied with the purchase and would purchase it again.

Great remote! I was able to program my Nvidia Shield which lists the code in the pamphlet BUT
there was no code for my Mi Box. The Xiaomi Mi Box code is 1654, I hope that helps someone out down the road if needed. 10/10 great remote for the price.

If you want to control Xfinity X-1 DVR, read this.

There are numerous complaints that this remote does not work with Comcast or Xfinity X-1. I got it to work. The problem is that X-1 remote uses RF to control the device, but this remote uses IR. To get it to work you must switch off the RF on the Xfinity box which switches on the IR. With RF, you do not have to point the remote at the TV but with IR you do. The good news is it seems to work faster - assuming the dog is not sitting between the remote and the DVR.

Here is the process:
On your Xfinity X-1 remote, push Setup button then 987. This switches RF to IR and eliminates RF pairing codes.
On your GE remote, hit setup until the red light is on, then hit CBL button then put in Xfinity DVR codes one at a time. In my case 1554 worked.

The Home button on the GE remote is the Guide button on the Xfinity remote, the menu button becomes the Xfinity button. The Back button is Exit, Chanel Back button is Last Channel. A, B, C and D buttons are the same.
You can link the DVR volume to the TV volume by following the instructions in the booklet "Master Volume Feature".

I also added a Roku Premier by using code 2014. Remember the Roku Stick and Roku Ultra will not work because they use WiFi for remote control.

So far, no problems. This works and is 5% of the price of a Harmony remote "“ Hmmm.

Setup this remote for my in-laws to run their TV, sound bar, and blue ray player. There is even an option to setup a master volume. This worked well because I could set the master volume to their sound bar and helped them eliminate 3 controllers at once.
