A Cutie--and Work Well

I got this Mulwark ratchet set because the hex screws were not all made correctly. Some did not fit the supplied allen wrench. While I waited for the furniture kit company to send replacement hex screws I tried this inexpensive ratchet set. Using a hex bit (sorry, not a tool gal and don't know what these little screw bits are called) one size larger, every odd screw went in perfectly.
I've used this since then most every time instead of a true screw driver and love how fast and easy placing screws has become. No matter what, the screwdriver would slip invariably striking the hand holding it (mine). With the ratchet this no longer happens. Of course it turns clockwise and counter clockwise.
Yes, I said it is cute ... and it is! The set is small, maybe 3" long. Tools are not generally cute, but this "baby" set is, in its small metal way. Two rows of bits come with it including a straight-edge and a Phillips screwdriver, several hex sizes and styles (square, star, etc), and some I have no idea what they are used with.
The big pluses for me were its price, $15, how easy they are to use, the versatility of bits, and yes, their cuteness. They fit so nicely in my crafts(wo)man toolbox.
I didn't spend much thinking once these last 6 screws were set in the you-assemble cabinet I'd never use them again. Turns out I use this ratchet set more than any other tool I own.

Perfect Mini Ratchet Wrench! High recommend for all sorts of fussy spaces -- lots of attachment heads that are really useful, and good sturdy quality. Perfect for tight spaces. One improvement I would make is to include a case that holds the Mini Ratchet Wrench and the attachment heads, but a ziplock bag Winn have to do! High recommend for your tool kit.

I bought this to use while taking the console out of my car. There are 2 screws that are nearly inaccessible due to the seat cushions. This little guy does the job. I would give this 5 stars except the handle is a little shorter than I would like.
