This tool worked just like I hoped it would for removing the spear in my sanke kegs. I saw a few negative reviews mentioning the screw tightening while trying to compress the spear. A simple solution would be to remove the screw and apply some loctite and put the screw back in but not too tight to allow the spear plunger to spin freely.

Good tool...I used it for putting retention ring back on keg after filling my homebrew in keg This tool made it very easy otherwise it was very tough to put it back. Only thing is this tool is more expensive than my sanke 1/6 keg lol.. but it works fine.
