Pretty happy with the purchase

Pretty happy with the purchase. I knowingly purchased the grip designed for the sd40ve with the intention of attempting to apply it to my sigma series. It fits for the most part with the acception of the circular cutouts meant for the sd and not the sigma but it doesn't bother me. I went with the granulate texture and it's fantastic
Just follow the instructions and all is good!

Wow - I'm the guy that can't play with paint or glue without getting it everywhere so I was shocked at how well this went. I cleaned the grip well and then warmed both grip and tape first. Had a minor area that didn't want to stick at first but heated the grip a few times, pressed and held the area and no problems now. This install went pretty well for me. Try not to touch the sticky side of tape when removing the backing and carefully remove backing from small sections by peeling the backing off these areas just as you did the first starting point. Apply as instructed, heat and press several times allowing to cool in between while check for problem areas and your good to go. Time will tell if it moves at the range.
Be sure to test fit a few times before removing the backing. It sticks well so you want to make sure you know exactly where to line it up at.

Almost full coverage.

The reason I got this was because I have it for one of my other guns, and its a wonderful feel. I was concerned that the adhesive would degrade from heat, but my guns don't run that hot. The texture is wonderful to me and unless I leave it out in the sun (I dont see how I would, but...) that would be the only foreseeable condition where this would be an issue. I only gave it 4 stars because, unlike my other gun, the coverage was good. For my model S&W SD9VE, the palm swell was not covered as well as I would like. The factory texture is jagged and uncomfortable during my range times and I didnt want to change the original condition with a Dremel or sandpaper. Otherwise, Its every bit as good a fit and feel as my other one. Good job Talon!!
These Talon grips are soooooo much better. Just ordered several more for my other pistols

Arrived several days ahead of schedule. Be sure to clean the grip completely. Took 2 attempts to get them installed correctly. Used a hair dryer 3 times to make sure grips stuck to the frame. I had a fingered grooved rubber grip on my Sigma before but it would move every time I fire a round. These Talon grips are soooooo much better. Just ordered several more for my other pistols.
Great for my slippery old Sigma SW40F!

While the 708G isn't expressly designed to fit the original Sigma models, I gave them a shot anyway. Sigmas are really slippery, especially if your hands are wet, so I hoped the Talon Grips would help. They do; they're wonderful. They truly allow you to get a strong purchase on the pistol.
The only issue is the location of the S&W logo. The old Sigma had it branded in the center of the grip rather than near the butt where the 708G comes provisioned with round cutouts. (See photos.) Therefore the cutouts just reveal the smooth plastic underneath rather than the logos. I'm sure the Smith and Wesson design department would object, but I don't care. I'm a 'form over function' kind of guy, and the Talon Grips really make my 23-year-old Sigma a joy to shoot.
If you have a pistol for which the 708G is specifically designed, you'll love them. If you have an old Sigma, you'll also love them, provided you don't mind obscuring the S&W logo.
