We got ours as a gift & are on our second batch now. It took a few days longer than stayed to totally seal- so just be patient. A friend has one & puts all the ingredients for a Manhattan in the barrel to age- great taste. Plan on doing some experimenting myself.

I bought this a second time after returning the first one for missing parts. After one batch, only 3 weeks in, the barrel has cracked and leaks. I worked for a cooperage for years, so I know how to treat a barrel so that is not the issue. It is fine in a pinch, but not good for long-term use.
