This laser is not suitable for outdoor use.The range in any sort of sunlight was about 2 ft.

Very easy to set up and use. I'm not a pro and purchased this to double check the foundation of a new house in having built. Opened it up, charged the battery, and started using it with any instruction. Looking forward to using this as I do more on my new property.

Works great, priced right. The laser came in a nice hard case with all accessories.
the laser works on both AA and the rechargeable batteries which is nice, i'm sure sooner or later I'll forget to charge them, but i can easily pop in a few AA's and get on with my work.
the grade rod is super long - can dig basements with this thing. the tripod is heavy duty and looks like it will hold up well.
Overall build quality for the laser seems on par with what i'd expect at this price. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.
