I bought 2 as gifts for family members during a difficult passing. They are battery operated, so they can be displayed anywhere. They only hold a small amount of ashes, which is what we needed. Very beautiful

I was searching for something to memorialize my Mom which I could display and doesn't look like an urn. I found this Tiffany glass piece which is a bit expensive (the only reason I gave 4 stars for value) but I just fell in love with it. My mother loved butterflies and I love stained glass lamps.
This little light is beautiful. Some people left bad reviews for the lighting. If you are looking from above you can see the bulb but at eye level or higher you don't really see it.
This piece holds a small amount of ash, maybe 1 tbsp. That part didn't matter as much to me. I am very happy with it.
I did not purchase the marble bottom. If you wanted to put a placard or inscription I'm sure the marble base would be outstanding.

I purchased this because it reminded me of my husband who recently passed away. He loved purple &butterflies! Stained glass is beautiful. It's well made & sturdy. It holds 1/2 tsp. of ash in small compartment in base. A lovely comforting nightlight!
