I had read some review that this ATV toy didn't work well in grass, but it did in my yard! My 3-year old grandson covered every inch of my backyard many times over, and figured out all the controls very quickly! He was in heaven and did not want to come inside even for dinner. The battery never showed signs of slowing down the entire day, which made us all very happy.

I was worried that the "gas" was a foot peddle and not a thumb button but it was a non issue and she figured it out quickly. I was concerned she would just stand on it and not know how to stop, but it goes as slow as I walk so she didn't get far anyway. It fits my less than 2 year old just fine, not too big at all. I almost got the one for 1-3 year olds, but this was just fine.
