I am absolutely in love with these boots. I had ordered a taupe pair first loved them so I ordered a black and red pair. I have a wide 16" calf and another problem spot I have big ankles 10" so sometimes it's hard to zip shoes up. BUT these boots fit great and feel good on. I think I could wear them all day. The heel height is good and looks good its in between a stiletto and block heel not to thin and not to chunchy just right 😆 I did not have to open up the laces to get on so I THINK MAYBE people with 18" calves would fit these also. I did order a half size up I wear an 8 so I order 8.5 because I like to wear regular socks with my boots. If you like to wear thicker then normal socks to keep your feet warm I would go up 1 complete size then. I do want to get a heel protector to put on to protect the leather on heel at the bottom. But these boots are for sure 5/5
