Mine turned out to be the best Merlot ive ever tasted/made. The SG test , (OG-SG) *131.25 proved to be a 13.125% batch too. I couldn't have done any better either. I'm coming back for more.
A top-notch wine kit

I have been making wine from wine kits for nearly seven years and made some 50 kits from several sources. The World Vineyard kits from Winexpert are moderately priced kits that produce an extremely high-quality wine. This is as true of the Chilean Merlot as it is of the rest of the World Vineyard series. A dry medium-bodied red wine with like oak intensity, this Merlot produces a medley of red and black berries on the palate. It pairs well with duck breast and barbecued steaks. Also, it's a great sipping wine.
The World Vineyard wine kits come with easy to understand instructions, and generally take no more than six weeks from the initial mixing to bottling. Moreover, each step in the four-step process can be completed in less than an hour's time. Although the Chilean Merlot can be drunk as soon as two months after bottling, giving it more time (as much as a year) to age will permit the wine to continue to mature and bring out its more subtle flavors.
