Short trips, yes! Long trips not so much

After all the reviews I read on these and products like them, they sounded perfect for my needs. And if your needs are getting cold items home still cold, they work! Unless you put in a bag of ice and have a really long way to go. Then they leak, the bottom piece fills with water and must be hung to dry, a long time. But for the average "˜go to the store, get home ina relatively short time' shopper? Great deal, fun design.

I've been using these bags for about 8 months now. They are still in great shape and fold up neatly. They are very sturdy considering my frozen foods tend to be heavier. The only improvement I could think of is just an inch or two in height. Luckily, they are soft sided, so they can bend a little, but the bigger sizes of frozen pizzas are too long the allow the bag to be zipped. Otherwise, they are great. Not a tear or even a sign of a weak seam.

I've used a different brand of reusable shopping bags in the past, but am so much happier with these! My others were tote-style, which often led to my grocery purchases being smushed together in transit as the bag toppled over in the car and carrying the bag by the straps led the bag to compact the items inside. These bags are structured and sturdy. The bottom insert ensures the bag retains its shape, and when removed, the bags fold flat enough to take up almost no room at all in my trunk when not in use. The straps and zipper are strong and the insulated lining appears durable as well. These are just the right size so that both fit side by side even in the smaller shopping carts, and yet they hold all that I have needed them to hold on a typical grocery shopping trip. These are great for grocery shopping with cold items. And the bottom has an extra piece for support, which is great because we buy a lot of (heavy) milk. The straps let us put the bags over the shoulder for easy carrying. It seems like this may be used as a cooler, but haven't tried that yet.
