I needed an inflator for my son's car, but his cigarette lighter wouldn't work with any of those out there. I was wary of buying a portable one based on some bad reviews, but after a lot of research, I found this one and it works perfectly. It will even charge his cell phone or laptop, which I was worried about if he got stranded somewhere with a dead battery somewhere. There's no need to worry with this device--it works perfectly and quickly. Well worth the price for peace of mind.

I bought this in Nov "˜17 and mine conked out this morning(2/13/18) while using it. So just over 3 months old and it's completely done. I pulled the fuse out and it was blown so I replaced it with a new one, the extra that came with it. It instantly blew that one. I emailed Campbell Hausfield pretty soon after it happened. They responded pretty quickly. Within an hour. Their rep said to give them the serial # and my address. I did but I also asked if this is going to be a recurring issue. She said no. I also asked if she knew what the problem may have been. She said it sounded like the motor was pulling too many amps. That's all I got. Anyway she said I should be getting a new one in 3-5 days. Pretty great customer service. It is still under warranty it not all companies respond when it comes to warranty claims. I just hope the product is just as good. So I gave 3 stars because the product really disappointed. I would definitely give 5 STARS for the customer service I received. I'll come back later and add to this review once I have the new, resent one, for at least a year. Then I will hopefully be able to give 5 stars.
Good functionality, but the quality of the new units is lacking

I had this exact model for over 10 years, and used it frequently. It worked great. Finally the round switch broke, so I ordered a new unit. The first new one came with a battery that died after just a few minutes use. I called Campbell Hausfeld customer service, and they replaced it right away. Great service! However, the quality of the second unit is not like my original one. The pump takes longer to top off my tires. When it runs low on power, the indicator stays green, even when it is clearly struggling. The fuse blows easily. They replaced the 15A fuse in the original units with a 10A fuse in the newer ones. That might be the cause. Overall it has all the functionality and portability I like, but what was a first rate product is now second rate.

Don't waste your money. After topping off my second tire on my pickup the fuse blew. Replaced it and let the it cool down. Mind you I'm only topping off 5 psi of air in each tire. Tired to continue the machine blew another fuse and began to smoke. It was after the 30 day return period on amazon, so out of luck. The warranty is still good but would need to ship back and forth on my dime. Just not worth it.

I ordered this tire inflator because of its features, specifically the built in, rechargeable battery.
I charged the unit 10+ hours before its first use, which was inflating one of the 17" tires on my car. The tire was approximately at 10psi, not flat but "undriveably" low. From start to finish the inflator was LoUd. I'm unsure if the 28F degree weather had any effects, but after 7-8 minutes I could see that the inflator was doing its job, at the same time the low battery indicator began blinking. After 10 minutes the tire reached 35psi, with the inflator still cranking with the same force.
Overall I am pleased with the product. It is well built, small and portable, has 2 built in compartments (1 for the hose and the 2nd to store away the hose and adapters for inflating various objects) and is reasonably priced. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars due to the compressor being quite loud, and the battery draining quickly. I would definitely recommend that all drivers owners have an inflator read
