Directions on box show turning it the same way for finer and coarser grind! Once you figure that out, it's well designed, grinds nicely at different settings, and the best thing is that the product comes out the TOP which you can then cover, and no product ends up on the counter or table.
TOTALLY SUCKS - AND THEY KNOW IT SO THEY DON'T LET YOU RETURN IT.

This pepper grinder totally sucks. It took me several minutes to get enough for one serving, no matter what setting it was on. The parts on the inside are plastic and not metal. It just doesn't work and really should be taken off the market instead of sold without an ability to return it even though it sucks.
THEY KNOW IT SUCKS SO HAVE A "NO RETURN" POLICY. I decided to pay 40$ for one that really works. Normally, I try to give things away that I don't use. For this, landfill is appropriate.

Very nice pepper mill. Not too big, not too small. Convenient twist dispensation and easy to clean stainless steel & glass construction.

The pepper mill ground well for about two weeks and then became difficult to use. It now only produces VERY course ground pepper...too course to use in much of anything. Looks nice, but very poor quality grinder.

It's a good product. It would be better if there was a little marker as to where to "set" the course, medium, fine grind instead of having to "test" what's coming out. Other than that, I like that it holds a good amount of pepper corns!
