This is a high quality sweet smelling leather belt for a great price. The size is adjustable and at first it looks a little daunting but its really easy to cut/trim the belt to fit any waist size.

YOUTUBE has some great videos. Simply determine the length you want by slipping it through your pant loops. When you find the right length, cut off the end square with kitchen shears. On the inside of the buckle is a small ¾" X ¾" metal square that you flip open "“ it will show a set of sharp teeth. These teeth will hold the end of the cut belt. Slide it into the end of the belt and close the square tightly. It will hold firmly.

Then wrap the other end around your waist and into the other end of the buckle. You will notice that the inside of the belt will make a ratcheting sound as it slides through the belt. This secures the belt to whatever waist length you want "“ a little tighter or a little looser. To unhook the belt, there is a small lever that you turn to loosen the belt to release. High quality for a reasonable price.

I've never owned one of these click type belts before. I've always stuck with the good ol' holes. I decided to give this a try since my old belt was becoming useless.

Pros:

1. The belt is sturdy and strong. Thin enough to fit through some dress pants belt loops and thick enough to not look weird on jeans.

2. It's very simple to use: feed the belt through the buckle and pull until it's at the desired tightness. The click action is actually not bad at all. It stays in place and the release lever hasn't accidentally got caught on anything yet. If it's too long and you have too much slack once tight, you can remove the belt from the buckle and cut the belt to your desired length. Then just insert the cut end back into the buckle and you're set.

Cons: None so far!

My highest recommendation for a product comes when I buy it again, and in the case of this belt I now have my second one.

I grew dissatisfied with traditional belts a few years back. They generally lasted about a year before the repeated bending of the leather resulted in cracking. Plus, the placement of the holes left the size adjustment in whole-inch increments, and I often wished for a bit of leeway.
I tried a canvas belt for a while, which solved the adjustability issue nicely, but the canvas began to fray after less than a year and the quality was lacking.

I decided to give a ratchet-style belt a try and almost randomly chose a black version of this model. It came with a one size fits all belt, a nice buckle, and good instructions on how to cut the belt to fit your waist. Short version, I've worn it almost every work day since and could not be happier. The ratchet mechanism allows the more comfortable adjustability, and the quality leather creates the great look I hoped for. After I was satisfied that the durability was as I hoped I added a brown model to the stable. Highly recommended.

I love it. No more holes that stretch out of shape. No more nailing a new hole in between the holes for that perfect fit. This belt has about 32 places for fit at 1/4 inch intervals. If you want to sit down for a stretch, you can easily loosed it up with the slide of a button. When you get up you just push it in for the perfect fit. I was a little worried about the buckle. Sometimes if the buckles are too big they pinch, but in this case, the buckle is a perfect width, about as wide as the leather so there is no pinching at all. I do not even notice it. The buckle and leather all appear to be excellent quality. The buckle is a shiny rustic gold and appears to be a very high quality. I think the price is reasonable as well. I probably will not go back to a standard belt ever again !!

This belt seems very well made, so I expect it to last for many years. I really like that it has no belt holes and can be adjusted to fit perfectly. The finish on the beefy, heavy-weight buckle is impeccable, and the belt itself seems well made and sturdy -- very stylish look too. It takes a moment to understand how the release mechanism operates so make sure you figure that part out BEFORE! you put it on and find out that it won't come off. (Like I did :-) in my haste to try it on.) Two thumbs up! ↑↑
