I really like the AC/Battery powered receiver because you can take it with you so you know when the sensor activates for sensor positioning. The packaging of the units is "bullet proof".
The sensors are very sensitive. They will sense anything that moves including weeds and trees in the wind, deer, coyotes, humming birds and wasps. That is what motion sensors do; sense motion. I suggest putting 2 sensors up so there is two different sequential tones so you can positively identify that someone is actually coming in.
One of the sensors quit working on my set. I called Hosmart. They were very amicable and promptly sent a replacement. There are so many companies nowadays that don't stand behind their products. This company did.

I've put this unit to the test for 6 months in the oilfield. They have worked fantastic! Many of the units I've tried in the past die after a few months.
I'm a gate guard so I move with a frac crew. That means setting up in a new location every few weeks. They have held up well.
I have been using power bank battery packs to charge the sensors. I found some of the cheaper power banks don't work well because they don't detect enough draw and turn off. When the sensor trips, the blue charge indicator comes on but only for 30 seconds.
Now I'm waiting for them to sell just sensors so I can have a few more. I have situations where 3 sensors are needed.
My current setup has one sensor at 475 feet, line of sight. The other is 200 feet away blocked by a generator, porta-potty and a safety shower trailer. Neither one falses or missed.

I've had this unit for one week and it seems to work well. I have three minor gripes. One, the assembly instructions are not helpful. One must study the parts and different screws before assembly. Two, the unit has to be disassembled to adjust the sensor range. This requires the removal of 9 screws to detach and open the unit. Three, the sensor range is understated. I found the range to be at least twice the stated range, which required me to disassemble and re-asemble the unit several times to get the proper range and eliminate the false alarms.
On the positive side, I found the receiver range good. My sensor and base are at least 400 feet apart. Also, I like the rechargeable battery in the sensor, and I like the reasonable price of the unit.

We are oil-field gate guarding. The alarms that were supplied to us only worked about 50% of the time. So we did some research and bought the Hosmart alarms. Good decision on our part. They work every time. We had to turn the angle as they were actually picking up traffic on the road - which means that the distance factor is pretty incredible. The only thing that we would change is to be able to make is quieter. It does have a loudness feature, but even at the lowest setting, it's a bit loud. But definitely worth the money - they work.

I bought this item, to replace a failing system. I bought the two system, which will allow two more sensors, but wanted to test this two sensor system, to make sure it is what I wanted to stay with. It seems to be a good working system, but I would like to have volume adjustability and also separate station adjustments (for inside unit, to better know which station is alarming). All in all, time will tell if this has lasting performance.
