used this to top a heavy duty flag pole that I fabricated for a severe weather location. good thick steel, welded nicely. nicely fabricated from 2 thick pressed hemispheres welded together, the seam was nicely welded and ground- ready to use. pretty substantial, they seem like they would hold up to pretty tough use.
