I do long hunts at night for pigs. The original battery would sometimes run low and I'd have to plug in an external battery. This larger battery adds some weight, but lasts long enough so that I don't need an external battery, even when running wifi the entire time.

This battery pack is the best way to sooth the energy hogging beast that is your pulsar digisight... If you live in a cold climate like me, where you are constantly hunting in sub freezing temperatures this, pack will give you an insane amount of battery life. I was out last night six hours scope and IR on the whole time. It was 5 degrees and it worked like a champ. You will not regret your purchase. Did I mention that Pulsar has insanely good customer service? It should be noted that the item pictured here is the EPS3, The EPS5 comes in a little velcro pouch, but the extra battery is well worth it!

I bought this EPS5 with some reservations, because my Night Vision unit goobles up rechargeable batteries like a little kid sucking down skittles. After receiving, I charged the unit up and was out all night hunting (over 7 hours of pretty much continuous use and when I got home and plugged it into the charger, the charging unit still indicates that it is not in need of charging. I've used this approximately 4 times since with the same results, though I do plug it into the charger regardless of whether it is saying it needs a charge. This unit is great... and gives me a full night of hunting without having to worry about whether my Pulsar night vision or my thermal unit will have sufficient power to go as long as I do. What an outstanding product. (I do wish it came in a hard shell like the EPS3, however, I have a cheek riser on the butt of my rifle that has a pocket which this unit fits into perfectly). Very very pleased!

I really liked the pulsar n550 night scope except for battery life using AA batteries in the scope. In cold weather I would get under an hour time if the ir illuminator was used much. This pack doubled that. I like the fact it also came with a car cord which makes this easy to charge anywhere.

I prefer the EPS3 due to weight and cost consideration. It attaches nicely on the left side of your scope and has not failed yet to provide adequate power for an entire night's outing (if you don't leave it on with the IR light the entire time). Comes with an European plug and an adapter for the US sockets on top of the car adapter. You can charge it without removing it from the rifle.
