Perfect for my 6 pound shih zhu puppy. There will be plenty of room for her when she is full grown (10-12 pounds). It is light weight, easy to carry and nicely made. I use the short straps to run the car seatbelt through them when I am driving. I also like that the top zips open. That is the easiest way to put her in and out. The soft bed it comes with is also nice (and can easily be wash... it zips off).
