Just a little tricky to match the dual snap jaws, but perfect for a nice snug fit on a horizontal tube. Use channel locks to secure. I found that using my pocket knife to gently pry and align the locking jaws made it easy to start the closure, then the channel locks snug these up perfectly. Remember to place it on the tube with the wire slot UP, because you aren't going to get this back off very easily once you clamp it down.

These aren't thin or flimsy they just do not have the death grip. But logic would tell you that putting slippery plastic on a slippery tube is going to allow rotation unless you are using steel and bolts. Use a wrench to tighten and they are extremely tight, if you want it like steel, then this won't be perfect but if you put something like duct tape around the tube metal first and put them on top, they would be even stronger. Easy fix. The plastic itself is tough. Great design. Impossible to remove without destroying so make sure they go where you want on the first try. I used them to add a line on top of my pasture fence so no one rubs body parts as in an itching post.

So happy to find these! I originally found these at my feed store several years ago and hadn't seen them since. Fortunately I had kept the bag from my original purchase and found them here at Amazon.They work great on my horse panels keeping the horses or cattle from pushing on the panels or harassing the horse next door. Easy to install, remove and reinstall. Another site offered these insulators at a much higher price, so I'm happy to find these on Amazon!

i purchased these to protect my livestock gate from the horse pawing and chewing on it. The idea and adjustment design is great and These will do the job, however they are VERY thin and flimsy. They slide along the bar and rotate around the bar if there is ANY pressure on them. That means you cant have any tension on them and cant pull the fencing tight. I had to tie them to other places to keep them steady, then they worked pretty well.
