Great for stubborn pit bull!

Have a pit bull mix, about 2 years old that I got from a shelter. Have been working on her "manners" but of course, she is stubborn. I was excited to get this because of the reviews and the price. Honestly, I have never had a shock collar in the past that had the vibration setting, so I was looking forward to it. I put this on her for a day, just to get her use to it (it says 5-7 days, but I have no patience). She had no problems getting use to it compared to her regular collar. Again, I am not patient so I bypass the whole tone thing. I go straight for the vibration. It sure got her attention. But she seems to think that the vibrations must be shooting up from the ground. It's really funny. She has no idea that it's coming from the collar. Honestly, I have only put the collar on her about 3 times. I have used only the vibration and she has really gotten WAY better with her "manners" and listening when she is told NO. She listens with and without the collar. I am not a fan of the collar itself, but I still gave it 5 stars because the system is awesome! If I really wanted to, I'm sure I could put it on a different collar. It has done what I expected it to do, and it didn't take but a couple times. And NO shock for our stubborn girl! I love the vibration setting. I've not had to use it near as much as I thought I would so that is nice also. I loved the fact that it had 2 collars. I figured I would have one charged up and ready to go when the other one died. But I haven't had to even get the second one out. The collar was plenty long to fit her thick neck, and there was still lots of length left. I would recommend this collar to anyone with a stubborn dog.

This is a good electronic dog collar. That being said, the material seems a bit "light" but time will tell regarding the durability.
I have used other collars (name brand) that are heavier but they fail too after time.
It has some nice features - light on transmitter and receiver, shock, vibration, and sound - - This is absolutely perfect for training - -
Always give a command then tone or sound prior to using vibration or shock - this will help you dog understand the meaning of a one word command - back, here, home stop etc.
I highly recommend adjusting the levels of shock by using it on yourself first. This is simply done be stepping up the shock in intervals then placing two fingers on the prongs - and pressing the shock button - - I have found that somewhere between 25 - 35 is all my dong needs (English pointer- with a strong hunt or predator drive) Actually he responds VERY well to just the sound or tone
I'm sure there are those dogs that would require a higher level of shock - but in all seriousness - try the level on shock on yourself first before zapping you dog with any level over 45 - -
I can comment on the waterproofness - yet

I bought this setup to try to teach my dogs some manners in the house and to encourage them to listen to me when outside. I followed the instructions about the dogs wearing the collars for a certain amount of days before I tried to use the collars for correction. Once this was complete, I tried the collars. I used the beep setting first, then the vibrate as extra encouragement. I only had to do this the first few days, and now when I hit the beep setting, the dogs respond accordingly (I have not needed the shock feature of this collar yet). This has made my family and the dogs have a much better experience with indoor and outdoor activities.
UPDATE: I had this system for 2 collars, and wanted it for 3. The system shows that it will accept 3 channels, so I reached out to the customer service dept. Customer service said that I could purchase another collar through them which I did with a payment through PayPal. Once the collar arrived, I followed the pairing instructions which were real easy to follow in order to program the new collar to the remote. Successful pairing on the first try.
Final Thoughts: This has been a great experience with this company and I would definitely have no reservations in ordering from them again in the future.

We have had a difficult time teaching two boxer pups, who just turned a year old,basic manners; to not get into trash, to jump up only when invited, not stealing food off of counter, yard boundaries, not stealing other dog and cat's food, etc. We've had the collars a week and have had very positive results so far. We've tried other products on other pets through the years. Thus far, these are the best. Battery time is great and we love the inactivity auto shut-off. We LOVE that we can control both dogs with one remote and can easily switch between functions and dogs. Also, the range is spectacular for handheld remote system. We have almost an acre of property and can control from anywhere on property. Also appreciate the safety of it; the impact of shock or vibrate can't really be too high and damage the dog if used with common sense. We had a wireless system where, no matter how low we had it set, it did great harm to our pit bull terrier....after a week, we returned that particular system. This one is a keeper!!!

We've had this unit less than two months. Proud to say our 14 month old male has progressed so well that he can now be trusted in the house. He has learned to stay out of the trash, not tear stuff up or go to the bathroom in the house. He no longer needs crated at night or when we leave. The female has a bit more to go. She still messes in her crate and house, but is learning to leave things alone. Both pups no longer need called or searched for when let outdoors. If they get beyond the boundaries or it's time to come in, the tone function brings them running.
