I have 40 year old Formica kitchen cabinets. They have a dark stained oak handle that I wanted to paint black. I cleaned and sanded the handles, but this paint would have required at least 4-5 coats to cover. I primed and used 2 coats of Krylon latex and it worked fine. I hope it will work on your project, but it didn't on mine. I added 2 more stars. Although the paint didn't work well on my old oak handles, I used it on some new pine boards for under the cabinets and with 3 coats it did very well. Happy now.

I use this paint on my chairs in Florida. It's the perfect soft color. Simply paint and dry in the sun works perfectly. I just touched up these chairs I previously painted 3 years ago. I also painted a ceiling fan and a swim suit drying rack all came out just beautiful. I do apply 2-3 coats for best coverage. Haven't tried any of the other colors but just re-ordered serenity. Happy painting!!!!

Color at opening was purple, not brown. Color when dry is cocoa, not quite as dark brown as the stripe on the can.

This paint went on smooth and left a nice finish on my bathroom cabinets, which have laminant fronts to them, but I did have to use a few coast since i did not sand the surface first.
