We put some rope on either side and a light weight to cut some branches that needed to be gone. It was very easy. We just threw the pocket chainsaw over the limb and sawed on either side using the extra rope. It saved us a lot of money by doing this and avoided paying a tree guy to do that for us. It was actually quite fun😂

So my choices were to hire somebody, to put an extension ladder up against the tree or think of a DIY solution. So I came across this cool little guy and I quickly came up with the DIY solution.
I first took a roll of para cord rope and tied a small padlock to the end to get the para cord up and over the limb. I took two medium size ropes, and tied them to the ends of the hand chainsaw.
I put an eye hook into a tree on the other side of where I would be standing so that the hand chainsaw would not be in a U-shape, so the limb would not bind the chain as it started to come down.
Then I just pulled each rope. Wanted to time back-and-forth.
Worked like a charm.

Cutting a limb using this method is not easy, first you have to get a rope looped over the limb to pull the saw up. Then you have to make sure saw is turned properly, then it is tedious and hard work to ever get it sawed thru but this is the best limb saw I've ever used!
