Ok, so I've used this backpack for 3 hikes with my little guy, and this is what I've got:
Pros:
-Super comfortable - waist and should straps don't bother me at all and my 11-month old has fallen asleep on the way down from the hike every time
-Seems like there is a lot of machine washable/removable pieces - there is a pad in the front of the baby's face (great feature) that is removable, which is nice because my son slobbers on it constantly.
-Bottom compartment is nice a roomy, we can fit wipes, diapers, sandwiches, drinks, bottle, snacks and jackets in it no problem. Great space.
-Pretty much everything seems to be adjustable - you can change the height of the shoulder straps for you and baby, waist strap location, how much play your baby's area has (meaning how much it can lean back on your back)
-Shade for sunny days, as well as cover for windy/rainy days. We haven't used the rain protector yet, but we put it on indoors just to see what it was like and it looks like it will work nicely
Cons:
-Waist strap only really adjusts on the right side of the buckle. The left side stays more or less stationary, which is annoying because I like to have the buckle right in the middle. I think if I fed the left waist strap through the buckle a little different, it would work better, but I never think of it until I'm already strapped in.
-Sun shade is pretty weak. We almost always see another couple with a baby carrier on our hikes. And the osprey and snugli brands seem to have better shade cover. Unless you're facing away from the sun, the shade cover really doesn't seem to shield our little guy from the sun. Which is annoying because he's pretty fair and has really light hair (despite both parents having dark hair)
-No chest clip for baby - this is annoying because the straps can slide off of his shoulders a little easier than I would like. It's not really an issue since his legs are still strapped in and it has side 'walls' that keep him in, but it would have been nice to have those. We ended up getting a chest clip on amazon to just add to it so it does have a chest clip.
Overall:
I wish the sunshade was better, so I didn't have to put a hat on him (it's constantly in his eyes while he's in the backpack). But the functionality, comfort level for both me and my son, the great storage space all coupled with the price makes this something I would recommend to a friend. Other competitors (Osprey) are like $250-$300 for something that is only marginally better. So if you're looking to save some $ but still get a high quality hiking backpack, I would say this is a great option.

so far it has been great. The fires have kept us inside for a few weeks. The straps need to be a bit smaller. I am bigger at 250lbs and I can not make the pack extremely snug like a rucksack should be. It is still on tight, just not as tight as I would want.
Comfy backpack. Good buy

Backpack worked great on our trip to Glacier Park. It has tons of room to store items (sunscreen, water ...) and my child was pretty comfortable. My only complaint is the size rating of the child. This advertised kids up to 5, my son hadn't quite turned 3, is 30 lbs, and really pushed the limits on the size. It was hard to strap him in. It worked fine for our trip but I doubt I'll use it again next year. Other than that, it held up well and was quite comfortable for me and child.
Great quality for price point

For the price, this is a really good baby pack. We are outdoors a lot as a family and needed something durable and comfortable. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is the strap fit on our baby. Right now they slide down despite many adjustments. But we are hoping this will improve as she grows. I would definitely say this is not for babies who can not support themselves when sitting-up. Especially for a few hours at a time. Also, when she falls asleep she leans forward into a ball and so we have to improvise with a baby neck pillow. She doesn't complain but it looks extremely uncomfortable.
Pros:
- comfortable to wear, almost unnoticeable
- light weight
- great quality for the price point
- lots of storage so you don't have to carry other packs for a few hours trip
- good thick padding in all the right spots
- easy to take off yourself with baby still safely inside
Cons:
- Top shoulder straps slip off top of shoulders for little babies (7 mos old)
- baby's legs are slightly pronated at this point (again, looks uncomfortable but baby doesn't complain)
- sun shade was too high up so we shortened the straps and covers her much better now.
