Onkyo has a winner in the 2 channel market with this receiver. Optical input & Bluetooth are a nice upgrade to the 8020 model. Controls are straightforward - did not need to open the owner's manual for any reason.

Excellent sound and plenty of power with very low distortion, Using with a Techniques phonograph/turntable, as well as digital inputs for DVD/CD player, and optical input for connecting TV. Bass and Treble controls make tuning the sound for various types of music and media as well as various sound levels quick and easy and allows plenty of adjustment range. There is also option to by-pass the bass and treble controls to play without any adjustments for sound purity. In addition to great sound for audio playback, I get good clear sound for voices when used for DVD playback or direct from TV with optical cable, which can be an issue with home theatre systems. Remote is handy and easy to use.

I have a very high end expensive music system in my music room. I bought this receiver for our porch to power two B&W speakers. Excellent sound. Detailed and never bright. The inboard DAC, with 24/192 is very good. Recommended for any system.
