The elastic on the waist is really tight. If you remove it, the drawstring will be enough. The pants are cute and otherwise they fit. I wear usually a size 12. I'm 175, 5'6'. I ordered large in the grey and white striped.

My only issue with these pants is that the waistband bends in half & causes the string to float around inside the fabric, all of which is rather irritating. It's not a deal breaker for me, as they are really cute, comfortable, fit well, & are a great length, but it's still something to consider when deciding whether or not to purchase.

I would like to point out that the colors aren't described correctly. I originally ordered the "black" pair and its like a dark grey. I am 5' 9" 145 lbs and I ordered the Large and they fit nice and comfy and are actually long enough for me, even after a couple times in the dryer. So I ordered another pair in the "light purple"...its definitely like a light rose color. These are pajama pants, so I honestly couldn't care less about the colors. They are comfy. Easy 5 stars.
