Strong, but...
Bob W.✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 29, 2023
I wish it had a rubber/non-slip handle not just for stability, but since it is metal, it absorbs heat from my hand. I have rather severe Renaud's and without gloves...I prefer not wearing them when feasible...it can be very difficult to hold on to the tool. Also, a hole for a thong would be nice. Still, a great, strong tool.
Hefty Tool Penetrates

This weighty tool penetrated the ground when a step-on bulb planter couldn't dent it. It also indicated the presence of stone or rock beneath the surface. I store my tools on a magnetic strip in my garage. This tool, however, was not attracted to a magnet.
Super large and sturdy.

Great large dibble. A little heavy, being metal, but obviously won't rot like wood ones. I don't need a super sharp tip, so I filed it down a tiny bit. I'm used to using straight wooden dibbles, but the bent handle of this one actually does make things a little easier.
Will last forever!

I used one of these when I volunteered at a community garden. The manager said he bought these years ago and they have not shown any wear. I bought one for myself and I love it! It is great for making holes for small transplants and bulbs. It is made of rust free materials and will outlive me!
This Product is a Winner!

I one hundred percent recommend this product. It has a nice heft and is very durable and ergonomic. I use it to plant grass plugs (that I grow myself) and to fill-in squirrel and chipmunk holes in my lawn with a lawn patch mixture (also self-developed). I tried several wood dibbles with a metal tip that fell apart and a plastic dibble that didn't last either. This is the best-in-class!
