Assembly: A little difficult to follow instructions but not impossible. I loved that all the assembly parts and tools were included and packaged individually/labeled so you could easily tell what you would need.
Quality: metal parts are heavy and it feels like quality materials. Very impressed.
Cons: the seat is not very comfortable. At lowest bike setting I'm still a bit too short for a super comfortable stride (I'm 5'2" with short legs). However, I set an old couch cushion behind my back and that helped a lot!
Resistance: wish it was a little bit more. I have very strong legs that I feel this bike doesn't quite challenge. However, the purpose of this bike for me was to keep me moving while watching tv and it's perfect for that.
Overall I am happy with my purchase so far. I used to have a Schwinn 270 and I would say this is similar.

Great deal for the money

Overall it's been a great experience. As far as assembly was concerned, it was fairly easy. It did help to have it elevated to about waste level or so to do some of the work. Like with most things, the first time you do something there's a learning curve. We bought two of them so the second one was a little bit easier to put together. Having two people or more did help. I think the average person wouldn't have too much trouble. If you are completely non-mechanically inclined, it would be better to have some help while doing it. As far as using the bike, I do like the fact that you don't have to plug it in, and also I don't. It's convenient not to have to plug it in because you can put it wherever you like, but,... if you slow down just a little too much you could lose all your exercise info, like how long you've been exercising, calories You've burned, how many miles you've ridden etc. It has good overall comfort, and is very sturdy. Personally I prefer leaving the foot straps off so that it's easy access to all kinds of footwear. I haven't used them since I started using the machines, and my foot has never slipped off. There are only two things I don't like about it. One is the speakers, not very good quality. I rarely use them. They do include a cable that plugs into the bike and the other end plugs into your device if you care to use them. The other is that the adjustability of the seat could be a bit better. The position of the seat release can be a bit inconvenient depending on how you put it together. Also you definitely need to be on the bike to adjust the seat. Very hard to do with any accuracy off the bike. Just to let you know, it's not the type of seat where a pin goes into a hole. It's more the type of seat that is clamped in position so you need to make sure the lever is completely down in the locked position. That being said I've never had it come unlocked on me using the bike. My overall experience with it so far is very good.
I'm Guessing The "Deal" Is Because You're Getting a Refrub?

The bike is perfect for me and It is quite comfortable for being a bike. I recommend watching the assembly video in 5 second chunks while putting the bike together. As you unpack the box, you may be intimidated, but the video is accurate in it's depiction of easy assembly. There are a couple sections where you will need to remove screws only to replace this affixed to a new piece. The black slider guard comes as one piece that you will have to separate by unscrewing it apart. I assumed it was snapped together and noticed the screws after trying to pry it apart. the screws are deep within the plastic and not easily noticeable.
The screen, AFAIK, will not stay on unless you are actively peddling (that may not be the case, It just seems like it so far).
Overall I'm happy I added this to my home gym. It compliments my Marcy MWM-988 quite well.

I (65 y/o) am not looking to scale mountains, participate in marathons etc. Work full time and my physician recommended for my recovery the purchase of a Recumbent Exercise Bike. I didn't want to break the bank with this purchase but did want to promote the best possible outcome post surgery. I am very pleased with this purchase. The bike is comfortable and has a smooth action when pedaling. It doesn't take up a large amount of space and is stable when in use and when getting on and off. My husband put it together with no issues. Would also like to thank Amazon for their Customer Service, first bike was delivered (delivery directions not followed) and left out in the rain! Amazon had this bike picked up the very next day and new one was here within 3 days!
Good Value: Some Assembly and Fixes Required

This is a well-built recumbent bicycle for the money. It rivals bikes that are in the 800-$1000 price range. Assembly is required so mechanical skills are essential to successfully putting this bike together. There are a few shortcomings to be aware of. The bike comes with two manuals: one for assembly and one for operations. Both are helpful, but basic. The operating manual requires some interpretation. The most significant issue relates to the seat assembly. First it takes care and some manipulation of the seat clamp mechanism to get it to slide onto the seat rail. Second and most annoying, the seat shifts from side to side during use, rather than being firmly set by the seat clap mechanism. Most of the advice tells you to call the company to fix this problem. However, with some mechanical skill there is a relatively simple solution (see photos). 1. Demount the seat assembly. 2. There are four rollers the position the seat assembly on the seat rail. Each is attached with a chrome nut. 3. Remove the roller by removing the nut (using wrench and Allen wrench supplied with the bike). 4. Install a 5/16" washer on the roller spindle and then reinsert the roller and tighten. Add a washer to all four rollers. 5. Tighten all four nuts, one for each roller. 6. It will take some finesse to get seat assembly back onto the rail because the rollers are now tight against the rail. Once the seat clamp is set in place you will find that there is very little movement from side to side. Enjoy the ride.
